- Sterile: 4-ply 7.5 x 7.5cm (£0.29 = 5 swabs)
- Non-sterile: 4-ply 10 x 10cm (£0.92 = 100 swabs)

- On prescription this needs to be written as “non-woven fabric swab” and “Drug Tariff Specification 28”
8-ply Gauze Swabs
Gauze Swab BP 1988
(Absorbent cotton gauze type 13 light or absorbent cotton and viscose gauze type 1 folded into squares or rectangles of 8-ply with no cut edges exposed, sterile or non-sterile)
- Sterile: 8-ply 7.5 x 7.5cm (£0.45 = 5 swabs)
- Non-sterile: 8-ply 10 x 10cm (£1.59 = 100 swabs)
