- MHRA Drug Safety Update (June 2019): Oral retinoid medicines: revised and simplified pregnancy prevention educational materials for healthcare professionals and women, and advice about the risk of neuropsychiatric reactions
- Tretinoin does not have a Pregnancy Prevention Programme in light of the oncology indication and specialist care setting. However, it is extremely teratogenic and the Summary of Product Characteristics (SPC) should be consulted for contraceptive and pregnancy testing requirements in female patients at risk of pregnancy
