Teledermatology for Advice & Guidance and Referrals

Teledermatology for Advice & Guidance and Referrals

Please include skin photos with advice requests and referrals where possible to support triage.

Verbal consent is acceptable for direct clinical care.

Please include a localising and close up image, and a side view if the area or lesion is raised.

Dermoscopic images are recommended where possible, particularly for pigmented lesions.

The Consultant Connect Photo app is commissioned across Devon for personal mobile phones.

Devon Dermatology Advice and Guidance Services (A&G)

Advice and Guidance services directly link the referring GP team to the Dermatology team to support both advice and referral. A&G in e-RS allows the Consultant to directly convert the A&G request to a referral if clinically indicated.

To make a referral using A&G click ‘Advice’ on e-RS.

Before submitting the request please give permission to the provider to convert to a referral.

Please see the NHS A&G toolkit for further information on how to use e-RS A&G Advice and guidance toolkit for the NHS e-Referral Service (e-RS) - NHS Digital
