Aquacel Foam should be considered as a first line option when a hydrofiber and a foam dressing in combination is required, please see section 17.2.4 Fibre dressings.

Foam dressings should not be used to relieve pressure.

Shaped dressings, such as sacral or heel should not be ordered or prescribed.

The wound contact pad size will vary with each type of dressing.
